I went to Little Big Land with some friends in January. It was super fun! Here’s a post about what I got up to and some information for peeps who aren’t sure if the event is for them I guess?
This post comes without event photos, as it should! Little Big Land is hella strict on their no photography rule – helping to keep all attendees safe!
The first time I attended LBL was last year, and to be honest it’s a little overwhelming the first time you go there. It’s three floors of complete age regression play space.
The first hour of the event is dedicated to bag checking and dressing up. Everyone puts on their favourite little outfit in the changing rooms and gets padded (if you want to).
There’s pick and mix and juice for everyone. The first two floors of the venue are kitted out with different play stations – Ball pits, building blocks, craft areas etc.
We played blocks for a while and came up with a whole creative story about how our town got destroyed by a giant dinosaur (just to put narration on a build and destroy hour).
I pushed one of my friends around in a giant stroller, and one of the girls played along with us, we were in a supermarket and she served us food!
Having a space to kind of have that imaginative role-play is really soul-soothing for me, as it’s one of the main things I miss from my childhood.
The top floor of the venue is a marketplace for lots of little themed stores. I didn’t buy anything this time around but there were a ton of cute onesies going around!
The entire day is like a fashion show honestly. We don’t get to wear our kiddo clothes enough and seeing what everyone else has found is great.
We spent the later portion of the day in the ball pit listening to story time, which lasts a while and is super relaxing.
I think Little Big Land is a really good even for the SFW age regression community, I actually feel like I could attend solo – there’s a ton to do in half a day and the staff are constantly trying to be engaged with the people there. It’s a lovely space.
Looking forward to the next one!
